Privacy Policy

What we collect

  • Your email address and name (for sign-in).
  • The photos you upload of your family members.
  • The portraits we generate for you.
  • Payment records from Stripe (we never see your card details).
  • Basic usage logs (which style you used, whether generation succeeded).

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use ApnaPic: which pages are popular, what devices and countries visitors come from, how they found us, how they move around the site, and to measure the performance of our Facebook/Instagram ads. Microsoft Clarity records anonymised usage such as clicks, scrolls and aggregated session recordings and heatmaps to help us improve the site. These tools set cookies and process usage data on Google's, Meta's and Microsoft's servers under their own privacy policies; the Meta Pixel may also share page-visit data with Meta for ad measurement if you have a Facebook or Instagram account. We only see aggregated statistics, never your identity. We also set a few small cookies of our own to keep you signed in and to remember your language choice. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Meta's ad personalisation in your Facebook settings; the site will keep working either way.

How photos are used

Uploaded photos are used only to generate your family portrait. They are sent securely to Google's Gemini API for processing. We never sell your photos, never use them for advertising, and never use them to train our own models.

How long we keep things

  • Uploaded photos: deleted automatically after 30 days.
  • Generated portraits: kept in your private gallery until you delete them or close your account.
  • Payment records: kept as required by law and for accounting.

Consent for other people's photos

Because you upload photos of other family members, you are responsible for having their consent first. If someone believes their photo was uploaded without consent, they can contact us and we will delete it.

AI-generated images of real people

Portraits created by ApnaPic are AI-generated images that depict real people. Share them responsibly. They should never be presented as evidence of a real event.

Sharing links

When you share a portrait on WhatsApp, anyone with that link can view that specific photo. Links are long and unguessable, but treat them like the photo itself: only share with people you trust.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your account and all associated photos and data at any time. Email us and we'll complete the deletion within 30 days.
